Review of Barney's Version (2010) by Adam K — 17 Nov 2011

When movies that forgo my predictions it is one of the things I love about movies the most. I first saw the trailer for Barneys Version late 2010, it was released Jan. 2011, and I finally have gotten round to seeing it in November of 2011.

and what I expected was a dark comedy with unique wit and good acting. which is exactly what it delivered upon but also more. first half of the movie is exactly what I thought, like I said with the wit, and the good acting from Giamatti.

then as the movie goes on and passes through Barneys later stages of his life is when this movie really gets real. you rarely see a movie document a persons entire life. but this movie does it so well main due to the incredible acting from Paul Giamatti.

simply put this movie is real; it really made me attach to the movie because of how raw and real the movie is. as Giamatti ages it really gets emotional which is something I didnt expect. I recommend this as a must watch for 2011.
