Review of Barney's Version (2010) by Lilianetty L — 12 Jan 2012
I think is not bad neither good, is just REGULAR. It is quite slow and the story-telling is....I can't say much but here is my review for this novel adaptation to film.
Plot: The picaresque and touching story of the politically incorrect, fully lived life of the impulsive, irascible and fearlessly blunt Barney Panofsky. How this will end? Will he be known as a modern hero and why? His confessions are truly remarcable. Stars? A few.
Acting: The cast did amazing. Dustin as Izzy was incredible, he even look like a jew really (they are humans just with another belief). Paul as Barney was shocking and outstanding. No doubt he's a talented actor, same Scott as Boogie who did nailed his role also very well. Rosamund as Miriam did a stunning job, same Minnie and Rachelle as Mrs. P and Clara. Marvelous job of this actresses. Stars? Defenetly yes.
Music: Did not helped that much but it gived it an interesting touch to the movie. Stars for the musicians work? Yes, includes the director and crew.
To end this review, 3 stars of 5. Enjoy and HASTA LA PROXIMA AMIGOS/AS! CHAO! BLESS YOU ALL IN THIS 2012!
