Review of Barbarella (1968) by Urban H — 24 Nov 2010
Jane Fonda should stop regretting having involved in âBarbarellaâ?. Few can remember her past works like âFun with Dick and Janeâ? or even âJuliaâ?. But many still talk about Barbarella. 2 weeks ago, Kardashian even designed a bikini collection inspired by this movie.
Letâ(TM)s be honest. Barbarella denies all rules of a good movie. But it is so bad that it is soooo good. I had never laughed so loud and so heartily since a long time. It is silly, dumb, nonsense and leaves your mouth open. It never takes itself seriously. Each time Jane Fonda is imprisoned, she had a costume change. She even tripped herself on a floor dragging fox tail-like scarf. The special effect (If you consider that special effect) looks like an elementary schoolâ(TM)s project. But they are still showing it in the tv after 40 years. That says something.
Rating : B.
