Review of Baran (2001) by Debasish D — 28 May 2011
What begins as a somewhat typical political film about the harsh life of illegal immigrants, in this case, Afghan to Iran, turns into a beautiful, quiet love story. A visually stunning, poetic film that is not about words, but eloquent silences.
Directed by Majid Majidi (Children of Heaven, The Color of Paradise).
