Review of Baraka (1992) by Stephanie G — 23 Apr 2009
Beautiful. Poignant. It's both breathtaking and a little depressing seeing how beautiful the simplest things are and how we complicate the world and turn it into our own factory of production. It makes us, as Americans, look so insignificant to the rest of the world.
Really, that's how it actually is, but it's still a bit sad to think about. I love this movie though. So many conversations can be derived from its beauty, pain, images, music.
