Review of Baraka (1992) by Piotr J — 14 Mar 2010
A documentary movie that shows us the world around...
Landscapes: volcanoes, waterfalls, forests, Grand Canyon,.
There are praying people, there is poverty, there is cruelty.
Yes, it has no dialogue. No, it is not silent, and no, it is not ever remotely boring. This movie was filmed by a crew of only 3 people, taking 14 months to shoot. The movie was filmed at 152 locations in 24 countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, China, Ecuador, Egypt, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Kuwait, Nepal, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, and the United States.
Worth watching...
