Review of Baraka (1992) by Robin V — 11 Oct 2013
Stunning visuals, and a soundtrack of new age or folk music, no dialogue or subtitles whatsoever. .. not your average movie. reminded me of Koyaanisqatsi (sp?) but with more intention to elicit some reaction from the audience besides awe at the cinematography.
probably best to watch in a theatre, not only for the scope of the scenes, but also to minimize the inevitable chitchat that happens with DVDs at home. Better to watch silently.
