Review of Baraka (1992) by Jack C — 07 Mar 2012
Ridiculously beautiful images void of narrative of dialogue, "Baraka" is truly a unique experience. Ron Fricke, aka 'the time-lapse king', steps into the directing chair for this awe-inspiring look at the world around us.
Similar to the film in which he made his name ("Koyaanisqatsi"), "Baraka" is a journey through man's relationship with this world. Traveling across 24 countries and filming for over 13 months, Fricke and his team have managed to capture some of the most stunning images ever committed to film.
It's ridiculous. That's about it really. It's pretty spectacular really.
