Review of Bangkok Dangerous (2008) by Karissa S — 17 Jul 2012
Bangkok Dangerous is a rather poor remake that lacks substance. A professional assassin goes to Bangkok for one final job, but things start to become personal when he unexpectedly decides to take on an apprentice.
Unfortunately, Nicolas Cage doesn't bring his A-game and instead delivers a weak and bland performance. There's not much of a story here and little character development. The actions scenes are also poorly done and don't really build much suspense or tension.
Remakes are often inferior, and Bangkok Dangerous is inferior in a lot of ways.
