Review of Bang Bang You're Dead (2003) by G M — 06 Dec 2007

This was an interesting look at the conditions that inspire violence in school. It feels like an honest treatment while also inspiring the hope to push for change and understanding within schools to help prevent tragedies such as Columbine.

For those who don't know, the title is based on a play that is actually intended for and performed by high school students around the US.

I think the only thing it should have considered more fully is the tendency for these kids to be suicidal as well as homicidal, and that the idea of living with consequences is not much of a deterrent for kids contemplating such violence.
