Review of Bang Bang You're Dead (2003) by Katherine P — 14 May 2011
"Kids can be the most ruthless people in the world. They can just be supernaturally cruel. You've got to be a man! Be a man! BE A MAN! Sometimes you just wanna cry. Sometimes hate is the only real thing in the world. You can stop loving someone, but hate seems to go on forever.".
An insightful look into the thoughts & emotions that a child being bullied can be going through. Tremendous acting performance by Ben Foster. The storyline of the movie is somewhat shoddy in places, but the script as well as the acting performances -- primarily Foster's -- portray & deliver a deliberate message about the tortured mental state & the everyday struggle that life can become for a person that is being bullied, and what that can lead to.
