A sweet, not awful contemporary teen film? Colour me surprised! The script is better than the actors - there were several moments throughout the film I was mentally replacing Hudgens and Connell with 80s era brat pack members and thinking what a shame it is that young actors are so soulless today - but the music and attempt at sincerity make up for that in spades.
