Review of Bandslam (2009) by Alejandra V — 04 Apr 2010
This movie wasn't anything expect going in, during, or at the end. There was nothing stereotypical about it at all. Not from the romantic angle, not from the victory angle, not from the life angle.
Starts off like run of the mill, light teen angst comedy, turns kinda emo on ya, and then finishes like an independent or indie film. The general storyline isn't so original (how many are there, anyway?) but was executed with originality and art, and doesn't belabor anything.
Every time I get scared that they are about to do something cliched, they don't.
