I really didn't want to like this film. I think Spike Lee is generally an obnoxious jerkass. And at the start, I really didn't want to like the style of it mostly being shot on video. But it worked, and it worked really well.
The only things that didn't work were the occasional bits of overdescriptive dialogue. Only see this if you are in an emotionally stable state.
