Review of Bamboozled (2000) by Bryan K — 16 Oct 2008
On a philosophical level, this film succeeds royally in how provocative it is. It is impossible to watch this film and not have some kind of reaction to it. The film does avoid being preachy, but where it fails is in how emotional it comes off.
The film tries to do too much and in the end loses sight of any particular message. The film's ending, a montage of black-face cartoons, is impressive. The soundtrack is noteworthy.
