Review of Bamboozled (2000) by Corey C — 11 Jun 2012
This is why I love Spike Lee. Has so much to say about the media and black culture, and spreads its venom in many different directions, towards stereotypes in media past (the blackface, minstrel shows) and present (hip-hop culture).
Hurtful, angry, upsetting and VERY darkly funny -- but only in a way too painful to laugh at. The ending montage is horrifying.
