A Disney film-wannabe with largely two-dimensional characterizations (with the exception of Balto's largely unfunny goose sidekick and the antagonist, a cold-eyed husky that is a rip-off of Gaston from Beauty and the Beast); while most of the background animation stellar, the characters themselves are drawn too linearly and without regard for the shadows cast by their surroundings.
