Review of Ball of Fire (1941) by David F — 24 May 2010
Gary Cooper as a tightly wound professor unwittingly falls for Barbara Stanwyck's mafia princess in this oddball, and very funny flick. Snappy dialogue and great characters, plus a great musical number, 'Drum Boogie' with Stanwyck and Gene Krupa, which alone is worth the price of admission.
