I was SO ready to hate this film. I'm not a huge fan of any films in the horror genre, and this one I was ready to lash out on. My first impressions (After watching the trailer) was that this was going to be a low-budget soft-core slasher flick, but it brings me great joy to admit I was wrong.

After the first five minutes of the movie, I was not impressed. In my head, I had figured out the ending, and I was quite disgusted at some of the cheap dialogue. The characters were two-dimensional and I was ready to shut off the film. But come when the characters actually set off and begin to write, this becomes a study of the characters, and in it becomes an engaging character study in how people respond to isolation and fear.

Baghead had it's touching moments, suspenseful moment, funny moments, and moments I genuinely loved the filmmakers. Proving to anyone, that an engaging movie does not have to have special effects or big name actors to keep an audience captivated.

If you are watching this movie to see a slasher flick, I recommend moving on. But for the rest of you, I recommend you sit through the beginning, buckle up, and enjoy where this film takes you.

Final Synopsis: A few weak scenes, but great acting and character study more than make up it. Don't expect this film to be what you want it to be, Just go with it.
