Review of Baghead (2008) by Brendon — 06 Jul 2009
Low budget at it's best. A simple story, no big name actors, and a perfect setting. This movie succesfully mixes horror, comedy, and drama all into one. Being an independant movie, the quality may not be what people want to see, what you'll get used to the style soon enough(shot with a digital camera, it cares more about the content than anything in the visual field).
Baghead is also a parody of sorts to old B-movies and such. It does a pretty good job of character development, even if most of the characters aren't very likeable. This movie takes a few twists and you as the audience feel cheated out of a movie, but in the end it all works out for the best.
A really great underlooked independant film that even has a few good tips for filmmakers themselves.
