Review of Bad Times at the El Royale (2018) by Amyj D — 11 Oct 2018
Between the cast, the costumes and the setting, there's lots to appreciate about this film. Cynthia Erivo shines with a multi-talented performance. The rest of the ensemble cast, consisting of veterans and newcomers, does not disappoint either.
While the film lags at certain points, it was never long enough to totally lose my interest. A good thriller with plenty of twists, without going overboard or trying too hard to be edgy. All together an entertaining, and often intriguing, trip to the El Royale.
