Review of Bad Teacher (2011) by David C — 05 Nov 2012
The film has an interesting concept but sadly it doesn't come together all the time. the overall problem is the weakly written support characters especially Timberlake. Segel is criminally under used which is a shame because he good in the scenes he is given.
The story is underwritten and lacks any real meaning. the story is an excuse for Cameron to run about shooting her mouth off. Kasdan just doesn't allow the actors to flow like they should, this isn't as funny as it could of been.
The actors are interesting at times but lacks the strength in its support characters. Segel is good but doesn't have the time to create anything special, Lucy Punch is great as the competition to Diaz and gives the film a character to dislike. Timberlake is just odd in the role of the substitute I felt he was a little out of place.
The film is full of misses as opposed to hits but it isn't the worst film to come out. the film lacks any real spark and is only a time filler.
