Review of Bad Moms (2016) by Sean G — 10 Aug 2016
I realized the other day that the movies I see in theatre are either based on comic books or are written by and starring funny women.
Bad Moms is written by Annie Mumolo who co-wrote Bridesmaids with Kristen Wiig and it is very funny. This is the kind of movie that will enrage a certain segment of the male population. Luckily it is not a remake so it will not get the same rage as Ghostbusters though it is much more "offensive" to "men".
There is a scene where the main characters/writer take a hard, aggressive, descriptive stand against uncircumcised penises and it is legitimately offensive...but the scene quickly turns hilarious as Katherine Hahn's character demonstrates how to handle a foreskin by pulling Kristen Bell's hoodie up over her head and then slowly pulling it down while Bell looks very sad/uncomfortable.
Another performance that proves that Katherine Hahn is an international treasure and makes everything she touches better, Paul Rudd style.
