Tears streaming down my face, there were some serious funny moments. I really appreciate how unique and relevant this movie is, and I think its over the top moments are a nod to remind ourselves of how non judgmental we want to be, but still are when it comes to parenting.
No, it won't win an Oscar, there were some sequence issues where I got lost, had to remind myself how we got to this place in the story, and some times I felt like it was too unrealistic, but it was a lot of laughs, and it isn't meant to be a heavy film. Sure, it could have been better, but as-is I think it really was groundbreaking from a topic perspective, heartwarming in some moments, and downright hilarious in many places. Even with its flaws, I would recommend to all my mom friends to see it, and my husband will definitely be watching it with me later (probably when it's streaming, not in the theaters).
High entertainment value, if raunchy does not make you squirm.
