"Who knew that "Bad Moms" would be better at being dirty than "Dirty Grandpa".".

Movie Review: Bad Moms.

Written and Directed By Jon Lucas and Scott Moore (21 & Over).

Who knew that a raunchy title like "Bad Moms" would be better at being dirty than "Dirty Grandpa". I had doubts about the trailer and I became sick to my stomach about another movie involving parents or relatives behaving badly but "Bad Moms" is not as bad as you think. It packs real punch into the female-driven movie genre with a female-led ensemble cast and the big surprise about it is that it was written and directed by the guys who wrote the first "Hangover" movie.

It boosts real big laughs but it has a tornado of dick and penis jokes. I'm starting to get real tired of this series of raunchy gags. However, the female-led cast helps "Bad Moms" from becoming a total bust. Over-worked and over-committed, 32-year-old mother, Amy Mitchell (Mila Kunis) says she's had enough of doing her children's homework, going to all of their PTA extracurricular activities at their school, cooking the supper and cleaning up the house while her husband, Mike Mitchell (David Walton) mostly sits in the couch all day watching TV and spending some private time with a dairy farmer through Skype.

After Amy finds out that Mike has been cheating on her, she wants to end her stressful time by publicly leaving the school's curricular activities which surprises PTA dominatrix, Gwendolyn (Christina Applegate). Amy goes to the bar for a little break where she meets two other moms, an oversexed layabout named Carla (Kathryn Hahn) and a stay-at-home mom named Kiki (Kristen Bell) who admires her brave stance against Gwendolyn.

After a wild girls night out, Amy decides to loosen up her kids my making their breakfast and lunches and doing their own homework. Amy also decides to take days off from the coffee company where she works as a sales rep which pisses off her boss (Clark Duke). Amy's actions draw in attention to Gwendolyn who plans her revenge against Amy by removing her daughter, Jane (Oona Laurence) from the soccer team.

Amy launches a counterattack of her own by planning to run for PTA president and remove Gwendolyn and her cronies, Stacy (Jada Pinkett Smith) and Vicky (Annie Mumolo) from their domineering power at her children's school. Amy plans an invite party to all of the school moms and form a positive campaign that will defeat Gwendolyn but she planned an invite mom party of her own and she even invited (this is a spoiler) Martha Stewart who treats the moms with catering treats.

Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn really deliver great comedic chemistry together and they have different personalities which helps them develop their storylines. Hahn mostly steals the show here because she's flat-out hilarious. She's used to being the second banana in silly comedies like this but in "Bad Moms", she reveals a different but still naughty side to herself. Christina Applegate is also terrific as the PTA dominatrix but Jay Hernandez (who's one of the few recognizable actors in "Bad Moms") doesn't get much to do as the sexy widower who Amy has a craving for.

It's hard being a mom these days, they are exhausted, over-worked and underpaid compared to the average working man but this movie shows that not all moms are like working robots. Married or single moms can just take a break and have a wild night for once in their lives. It's nowhere near as funny as "The Hangover" or "Bridesmaids" but if you're looking for a nice girls night out to the movies, "Bad Moms" is certainly your destination.
