Review of Bad Education (2004) by J. Piet H — 25 Mar 2008
Brilliantly realised by Almodovar this is worth comparing with Hitchcock's Vertigo in many ways. Unfortunately many people will be put off by the subject matter and the fact that it is in Spanish. The acting is peerless, the atmosphere tense and thoroughly engaging.
Plenty of humourous moments and fabulous cinematography. On top of that there is a great story which is worthy of Hitchcock and does not hold back as Hitchcock did because of the restraints of censorship.
A must-see.
