Review of Bad Education (2004) by Kelsey E — 03 Feb 2008
First off, it is completely unfair that Gael Garcia Bernal is prettier than most women in drag. Second, the movie is visually stunning, as Almodovar waves his magic candyland-palate wand over the already colorful world of Barcelona.
A saga of two little boys that fall in love and the catholic priest-schoolteacher that exploits them, told in two parallel stories, one a fiction in the movie and one reality. The twist is a little contrived but still an amazing movie.
