Review of Bad Day at Black Rock (1955) by Anne F — 21 Feb 2010
A man arrives at a town in 1945, in search of a Japanese man, and very quickly realises that everyone wishes he wasn't there, and that his life is in danger. The film must have been very daring at a time when Americans didn't regard the Japanese nation fondly, and had a (fairly predictable but important) lesson that withstands the passage of time.
