Review of Bad Boys II (2003) by Isaiah H — 07 Jan 2014
Although the plot and beleivability are stretched nearly too far in this film, it is too busy blowing up itself with stunts and laughs. By far an excellent action flick and the only film I have been able to watch and enjoy with Martin Lawrence. A rare sequel that blows the first away. Still, soooo many innocent bystanders die.
A keen observer will note that many of the experimental, kinetic continuous shots used here in the car chase and the gunfight in the Jamaican crack house are extremely innovative - something David Fincher emulates in later films. Seriously, watch Pearl Harbor, Armageddon or this and then "Panic Room." Fincher's not as original as you might think.
