Review of Bad Boys II (2003) by Movie K — 13 Feb 2010
A good sequel. Action is up one level from part 1. Total action pack movie. The opening has the dynamic duo as the undercover in a drug deal and a shootout take place. Martin's butt got hit by Will.
His sister Gabrielle Union come to Miami for vacation but she is in fact a DEA agent working on a deal she had prepare for 5 months to lure Peter Stormare. Will Smith got the news of a deal and also tag on the same group of baddies.
The highway chase and shoot sequence is totally action pack and superb. The whole thing stop and the baddies pick up the money from her car. Their boss Joe Pantoliano wants them solve the case asap. The drug lord Jordi Molla calls for pest company because his house is full of rats, destroying his stack of cash hidden.
The duo undercover in and wire the house before escaping. Jordi force Peter to hand over all his assets. He make Gabrielle his new banker. The duo fears for her safety and ask her to join them in busting the drug lord.
He is using the mortuary to ship his cash out of Miami in corpse and coffin. During the meet up, Jordi expose her identity and flew off to Cuba. The team ambush his house but too late. Martin receive the phone call to bring the money and exchange for her life.
They are at their wits end, later the DEA agents are willing to join force with Martin and Will to save Gabrielle. Joe sent in 2 CIA operatives to assist the secret mission. They dig tunnels to Jordi mansion and launch the attack.
The duo save her but can't make it back to the tunnel. They escape on a hummer. One of the agents plant a bomb inside the mansion and it totally destroys the place. Jordi continue to chase after them until the US base.
Will is held hostage and Martin give a good clean shot to Jordi forehead, he fell on the landmine and blown to bits.
