Review of Bad Boys II (2003) by James W — 26 Oct 2013
Two trash talking cops and a mega-tonne of huge explosions and blistering action, what more could you want? Yes the humour is tasteless and clunky, the story isn't cleverly plotted and the banter gets a little exhausting every now and then but Michael Bay is the king of chaos, Bay Boys II showcases Bay's talent of making anything and everything look cool in slow motion even if it doesn't fit the story.
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are brilliant and dependably funny, and although I do miss Tea Leoni from the first movie new cast addition Gabrielle Union does a good job. For action fans this is undeniably a must see, for those who hate Bay you'll have a field day ripping this apart.
