Review of Bad Boy Bubby (1993) by Bryn C — 26 Mar 2009
What at first seems like nothing more than shocking trash, Bad Boy Bubby becomes a story with a lot of heart if you stick with it. While not for all tastes, the themes here are the most widely talked about in all stories: Love, acceptance, rejection, religion, art, etc, etc.
It's so much fun to see the deranged and seemingly psychotic Bubby enter the outside world for the first time in his 35 years of life, acting just as a child would. He's like a big joyful sponge that simply absorbs everything, for better or worse and finally experiences what it's like to grow up and become something more than a monster living in a dark basement.
