Review of Backdraft (1991) by Derence R — 06 Jun 2011
> > > I confess. I've been a fire victim. And believe me, it's very traumatic. I witnessed with my two naked eyes how the scorching element scattered throughout my very room. Me and other family members lost memorable stuffs never to be returned again.
- Director Ron Howard took a serious turn to show us firemen's uneasy job. In this movie, it's almost realistic. Kurt Russell and William Baldwin star as brothers who together pursue to be the best firefighters. Other cast members include Scott Glenn, Donald Sutherland, and Robert De Niro.
- It's the best firemen story I've seen. But as a film altogether, it's an ok dramatic-suspenser. Nevertheless, main actors delivered terrific performances.
> BestMoment:
- The dying Stephen at his brother's side in the ambulance; requesting not to reveal Adcox was the arsonist.
> BestQuote:
- "You go, we go.".
