Review of Backdraft (1991) by Justin C — 16 Jun 2012

This was a good movie at the time. Now after being in the fire service, and you can ask any firefighter, we consider it a Comedy, wouldn't we love to be able to go on a fire walking in, see the fire, no smoke at all, find the people and get them out.

In real life it's more like down on your knees, packed full of smoke, cant see a thing and need to whip out the thermal camera to find victims and manage your air. But I do realize it is only a move and when I was a kid a watched it over and over and it was AWESOME and probably a good reinforcement for me to go into fighting.
