Review of Back to the Future (1985) by Tatiana C — 11 Sep 2013
Back to the Future.
Back to the Future is a movie that leaves you in a good mood, it's funny and the characters have quirky personalities that you can watch again and again. It's a movie about a 1980's teenager named Mart McFly going back thirty years and meeting his parents when they were his age. While back in 1955 Marty accidentally prevented his parents from meeting which in turn causes him to never exist, therefore he has to bring them together before it's too late and he ceases to exist.
There are plenty of funny moments in Back to the Future that either make you laugh out loud or at least leave a smile on your face. For example, when Marty meets his mother Lorraine for the first time as a teenager, she starts crushing on him and calls him Calvin Kline because of the underwear he's wearing. There's also another entertaining part when Marty needs his father George to ask Lorraine to the school dance. Marty goes about doing this by sneaking into George's room in the middle of the night in a radioactive protection suit from earlier on in the movie and puts headphones on George's head and blasts some music, claiming to be an extraterrestrial being and needs George to ask Lorraine to the dance.
The two main characters in all three of the movies would be Marty McFly and Doctor Emmett Brown, or as Marty would call him Doc. Doc is very eccentric, he came up with the idea of time travel when he hit his head on his toilet seat. He also stole plutonium from terrorists to make the DeLorean into a time machine. And Marty he was preforming at his parents high school dance and his performance kind of got out of control when he was singing the song Johnny B. Goode.
Back to the Future is a funny family orientated movie that leaves you in a good mood. You'll want to watch the next two movies and follow Marty and Doc in their time traveling adventures. It's a fun Sci-Fi movie to watch on movie night, no matter how old it is.
