Review of Back to the Future (1985) by Gordon H — 30 Jul 2016
A Sci-Fi Time Travel Masterpiece!

Small-town California teen Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) is thrown back into 1955 when an experiment by his eccentric scientist friend Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) goes awry. Traveling through time in a modified DeLorean, Marty encounters young versions of his parents (Crispin Glover, Lea Thompson), and must make sure that they fall in love or he'll cease to exist. Even more dauntingly, Marty has to return to his own time and save the life of Doc Brown.
I LOVE this movie! It's been 30 years to the day since "Back to the Future" was first released in theaters. I still remember what it was like to see this sci-if time travel masterpiece on the big screen. Funny one-liners, Easter eggs galore, and a plot that is equal parts thrilling, hilarious, and flat out awesome, "Back to the Future" may be thirty years old, but it still looks and feels as amazing as it did in 1985! Yes Marty, it's heavy! Five stars.
