Review of Babylon A.D. (2008) by Movie K — 05 Apr 2011
Upon first glance, one may mistake Babylon for a messy, derivative action/sci-fi flick and if left alone this will be the undeniable conclusion. However, upon further dissection it proves to be a well thought out satire of such films.
The dialogue, action scenes, acting, and plot are all unbelievably poorly construed and utterly devoid of anything resembling characters (or talent for that matter). This vile brew ultimately culminates in hilarity throughout.
Simply put, it is so pathetic and bland in its components that I find it impossible for anyone to envision such an atrocity which leads to the only logical conclusion of Babylon as an epic burlesque. This movie is among the most underrated and brilliant works of art I have ever seen.
Logic knows no bounds in this comedic thriller!
