Review of Babette's Feast (1987) by Lyndon G — 16 Nov 2007
When my dad showed this to me in 1988 I was too young to get it, but I always remembered that he really liked it. So, when I was 18 I rented it and was blown away. I was told by a friend that a local restaurant here in C-ville re-created the feast for awhile after the film. I wish I could have been there.
The power of the film is in what goes unsaid.
