Review of Babette's Feast (1987) by Neylân G — 02 Dec 2007
This film deserves superlative ratings in so many different ways. I delight in every second of it... Not many feel the same way but it should be watched and studied by all who want to figure out the dynamics of human reconcilation (regardless of personal delight or enjoyment).
My all-time favorite, along with another Scandinavian work, "House of Angels," for the same reasons. Stories of reconciliation set right in the midst of human folly and communal divisiveness.
