Review of Babes in Arms (1939) by Rose G — 01 Nov 2007
As much as I love Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney, any movie that relies heavily on the stars singing and dancing in blackface (see also "Swing Time" among too many others) is too cringe-inducing to rate more than a star or two.
Cut that scene out and this would have been a very likeable flick.
