Review of Babe: Pig in the City (1998) by Leah A — 27 Dec 2009

Gene Siskel said literally on his death bed that this movie was one of his absolute favorites of all time. I personally agree. I put it in my top 3, if not top 2. There is a certain kind of whimsical, yet dark Roald Dahlish storytelling at play here that elevates this film well beyond the cuteness and inspired quirkiness of the first film into brilliant, layered, sometimes heartwrenching territory.

I absolutely love this movie and will defend it's genius to my last breath.
