Review of Azumi (2003) by Annaleena H — 19 Jul 2008
I had a hard time figuring out what this was supposed to be, it's filled with action and has a fairly intriguing story, although it wears thin about a half hour before it's over. My biggest problem is that it's far too serious to be fun and it's too over the top to really take seriously, if that makes sense.
It's definitely no Versus but it's another showcase for Kitamura's unique visual style.
