Review of Azumi (2003) by Matthew M — 04 Mar 2009

I enjoyed this movie it was over 2 hours long but went by really quickly because of a lot of action sequences. The samurai fights scenes were good and the story line about assassins was entertaining enough.

The special effects and cg was used but mainly for gore and random effects. Not as much as to ruin the film. The movie I enjoyed for many reasons but mostly just the beauty of the landscapes and the flashy extravagance in everything.

I have seen versus which was by the same director and he knows how to make great samurai action movies.
