Review of Azumi (2003) by Chris D — 23 Mar 2009
A group of orphans raised by a mentor in 19th century Japan to be an elite team of assassins, led by a young girl named Azumi, are finally sent out to fulfill their destinies. But along the way they begin to question the subjective nature of who is good and who is bad.
..who is worth saving and who is deserving of death. Incredibly beautiful cinematography, a good story, wonderfully exciting action sequences...not much historical accuracy, but overall an entertaining film.
