Review of Azumi (2003) by Annika L — 22 May 2012
The actors rehearsed the action choreography on set without any apparent training, which shows in the film as awkward and some times clumsy and unbelievable movement. The story should have centered more on Azumi but it kept wondering around.
Also it would have brought a shit load of more if the murderer of her mother would have been revealed to be one of the bad guys. It also looks weirdly gray (but the light comes briefly to visit in the middle of the end battle, hey, Sunshine!).
