This was a little slow for me. I don't know enough about Alzheimer's and have never watched anyone with it but at some points it was almost as if Fiona's behavior toward Grant could not have been more deliberately perverse. His desire to see her and to see her happy while noble and laudable also seemed a bit masochistic. Then again, I suppose, I don't know this model of love & pain.
Julie Christie is still beautiful. All the performances in this Canadian film were good and understated.
