Review of Away from Her (2007) by Miranda J — 20 Apr 2008
This film had been creating a lot buzz for its lead actress, but I thought the main actor was overlooked. Although I've never seen this man before, he did a good job as playing her supportive husband.
Julie Christie gives a fine performance, a sad yet elegant portray of a long time married woman suffering from Alzheimer's disease. The film is filled with small tender moments and it is depressing at times.
