Some great acting from Julie Christie and the theme of Alzheimers is handled sympathetically. But the story itself doesnt seem to go anywhere and the ending really is a false dawn rather than a ray of hope.
The Grant character seems to sleep walk through the whole film and his stoic nature is at odds with what you would assume a grieving husband would be going through.
