Review of Awakenings (1990) by G. K — 15 Oct 2008
A moving, unbelievable true story! It makes you think that all these could only happen in a movie. But it also shows you that the life is not a fairy tale after all. I had goosebumps when I saw De Niro talking the first time.
And the story is so dramatic, you can't help thinking of life and freedom after watching it. A wonderful cast, a terrific performance by De Niro. And in my opinion, Julie Kavner, voice actor of Marge Simpson, is not-to-be-missed! She plays her role so true-to-life and so simple, reminded me of McDormand in Frago.
