Review of Awake (2007) by Caleb M — 25 Jun 2009
The only reason I popped this into the dvd player today was because out of all my friends netflix dvds, this was the only one I hadn't seen, and I figured Jessica Alba in an R rated flick had some potential.
I was surprised to find myself enjoying Awake. None of the main performances are noteworthy (although Christopher McDonald has fun in his small role), and the gimmick of the whole "anesthetic awareness" isn't used to it's full potential, but Awake is very entertaining in a B-movie way; it gets the job done.
